Inspirational Scriptures

These are scriptures I turn to when I am feeling weary with life.

  • Isaiah 26:3 | “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (NIV)
  • Psalms 23:1 | “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”
  • Romans 8:38-39 (Paraphrased) | “Nothing can separate us from the “love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. (NIV)
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 | “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” (NIV)
  • Ephesians 2:4-5 | “But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”

Each one of these scriptures has brought me through different difficult times. The one from Isaiah is one my grandmother repeated, frequently, when I was in my teens; I always thought she meant it for me, but looking back I think she may have been reminding herself as she was trying to handle the many demands of life (of which, I was one). I encourage you to look up these scriptures in your own version and read the entire chapter. I pray that you find comfort in the scriptures as well.  If there is one that is particular helpful to you that you would like to share, feel free to contact me.
